        gardens at Waikiki ( year 2018 )

Entrance from Wai Nani Way, high shrubs replaced by low purple plants. The high shrubs provided a little extra serenity from the street view. Also the trees were pruned or cut back, the feeling or visual effect of having a tree canopy is no longer there. The after photo was taken 24 Oct 2018.

Small Title

Looking out from Unit 1101, and looking at the pool and Ala Wai Canal. Large noticeable item is the Banyan Tree and how it was trimmed. Middle Left. Also in addition to the pool, the color turned from a beautiful blue to a bluish-green color. RM citied algae due to the sun. The pool has been properly maintained since then, but this happened twice already as of October 2018.

Looking from the Ala Wai, the Banyan Tree was excessively trimmed. Safety was the driving factor, but at the same time, the Resident Managers view from his free ground on-site apartment became more expansive.

King Tower, the tree was removed by uprooting the tree. Not sure of the reason, but the tree was not dead. However the Resident Manager said a new tree will be planted.

Corner of Pualani and Wai Nani Way or across from the Diamond Head Vista, the trees were pruned or trimmed, a little too much. The garden look seems to disappear. After photo was taken 24 Oct 2018

More images from the shade tree that was removed week of 10/22/2018 corner of King Tower.

Four owners pleaded with the manager to please not cut it down. We would like all alternative solutions explored before cutting a healthy tree down. The tree provided beauty and shade. It will be missed.

The Queen Tower lobby, the air handler units were replaced with air conditioner split units. Rumor was the drip tray / pan was leaking.

The Brass letters on the towers used to be shined, using a brass cleaner. Not anymore and may be beyond repair.
